SelectPro Janitorial
SelectPro Janitorial is a family-owned commercial cleaning company serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. We clean office buildings, schools and childcare centers, medical and biotech facilities, apartment complexes and HOAs, retail spaces, and industrial sites — with a documented plan, a supervisor who checks the work, and a direct line to a real person.
We're licensed and insured, every member of our team is background-checked, and we bring over 30 years of combined industry experience to every building we service.
Why we started
I've been around this work most of my life. My mom cleaned houses, and in high school I'd go with her to clean a preschool. That's how I paid my own bills back then.
I tried a few other things after that — spent a stretch as a personal trainer — but I kept coming back to this. The difference was that I wanted to understand the commercial side of it. So I went to work for a commercial cleaning company and stayed close to eight years. I learned the business there.
I didn't leave because anything was wrong. They ran a clean operation and I've got no complaints about how they treated me. I left because I could see where my ceiling was, and I wanted something with my name on it — more say in how we treat our people, more room to work with clients the way they actually need, and the ability to put others to work.
So my family and I started SelectPro.

The hard part isn't the first month. It's the twelfth.
Plenty of cleaning companies start strong. The crew is sharp, the supervisor is present, the building looks great. Then the assigned team rotates, the account manager stops picking up, and by month six you're sending the same email about the same trash room.
That drift is the actual problem in commercial cleaning, and it's what we built the company to prevent.
A documented scope. Before we start, we walk your property, look at traffic patterns and problem areas, and ask what went wrong with your last vendor. Then we write down every task and every frequency. Nothing is left to interpretation — not ours, not yours.
A consistent crew. The same people clean your building. They learn which restroom runs out of towels first, which conference room takes the worst beating, and which door doesn't latch. That knowledge is worth more than any checklist.
A supervisor who inspects. Someone other than the crew that did the work reviews it. Problems get caught before you have to point them out.
A real person on the phone. You get a direct contact who knows your building — not a ticketing queue and not a call center. When something needs attention, you talk to someone who can actually fix it.
